Camilla's Tomato Chilli Jam had been an important part of the Lywood store cupboard for many years.
About 3 years ago, a friend asked me to produce the special Tomato Chilli Jam for her newly formed travelling delicatessen and so What A Pickle was born
The jam fast became a popular product, with many locals claiming to be addicted. Very soon I had local farm shops, delis and butchers asking to stock the product, and sales have continued to rise ever since.
It has to be said that once you have tried it you will never want to be without it, its versititly means that it seriously earns its place in your kitchen! Where else can you find a product that can lend itself to be a dip, marinade, an addition for cold meats and cheeses and a brilliant flavouring for stir fries, pasta sauces and gravy? It also is great on jacket potatoes and cheese on toast !
You will often find my Tomato Chilli Jam stand at local Food Festivals and have recently had great success at the Summer Food Show at the NEC, Shobdon Food Festival and Ludlow Food Festival. I will be part of the Mistletoe Festival in Tenbury Wells on Sat 5th December with my Tomato Chilli Jam and introducing my 2 new products, Carrot Apricot and Coriander Relish and Red Onion Marmalade.
What A Pickle was delighted to have one of our products, Tomato Chilli Jam chosen by Marianne Lumb (finalist of Professional Masterchef 2009) to be included in all goody bags given to those who attend the launch of her first book "Kitchen Knife Skills" This event was held at La Fromagerie in London (widely recognised to be one of the best cheese shops in England).
Continuing the theme of the best, we are now supplying O'Shea's of Knightsbridge SW7. Quite simply the best butcher in town!
What A Pickle can now be followed through Facebook and Twitter. What a great way for me to let all fans know of new products once they are launched!
